Melissa Kimble

Photographer — Style LAFW

Melissa Kimble brings a deep cinema background to Style LAFW, shaping her photography with the same discipline, awareness, and storytelling instincts she developed on film sets. She began her career in the world of motion pictures as a production assistant, quickly becoming the person productions relied on to keep shoots moving. The best way to describe her: she makes movies and music videos happen.

Over the years, Melissa expanded into multiple on-set roles, including production stills and behind-the-scenes photography. Working closely with directors, cinematographers, and department heads gave her an instinctive understanding of timing, composition, and how to capture authentic moments without disrupting the flow of a set. That experience now translates directly into her work at Style LAFW, where she brings a cinematic eye to runway, backstage, and editorial environments.

When not on film sets, Melissa spent years assisting in commercial photography studios, absorbing lighting techniques, workflow discipline, and the precision required for high-end image making. She has always had a natural affinity for photography, and stepping behind the lens professionally was a seamless evolution. Today she directs models confidently, crafts intentional compositions, and creates images that feel both polished and alive.
